Submissions

1. Kognitif: Jurnal Riset HOTS Pendidikan Matematika accepts research articles or critical analytical reviews (invited authors) in the field of mathematics education that have not been previously published. Manuscripts should be prepared using Microsoft Word, Times New Roman font, size 12, on A4 paper with 2.5 cm margins on all sides, in accordance with the template JRHotsPM(bahasa) or template JRHotsPM(english)
2. Manuscripts must be submitted online through the OJS of Kognitif: Jurnal Riset HOTS Pendidikan Matematika at  https://etdci.org/journal/kognitif
3. All authors of the article must be listed/entered in the OJS when completing the “authors” section during the article submission process.
4. The article must be written in Indonesian. The line spacing is set to 1.5, and each paragraph should begin with an indentation of approximately five keystrokes.
5. The article should be organized in the following order: Title, Author Identity (Name, Institution, and Email), Abstract with Keywords, Introduction, Method, Research Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
6. The article title should not exceed 14 words, typed in the center, using Times New Roman font, size 14 pt, bold, and with each word capitalized.
7. Full name(s) without academic degrees should be provided. If there are multiple authors, all names must be listed along with their respective institutional affiliations. Author identity should use Times New Roman font, size 12 pt, bold. Only the email address of the first author or corresponding author should be included.
8. Abstracts must be written in both Indonesian and English, single-spaced, and followed by 3–5 keywords or key phrases (arranged alphabetically), using Times New Roman font, size 11 pt. The length of the Indonesian abstract should be 200–300 words (the English abstract should follow accordingly). The abstract should be written in a single paragraph and must include at least: the significance of the research, objectives, a summary of the methods (subjects, instruments, data collection procedures, or data analysis), and the main findings/results. The abstract and keywords entered into OJS must be in Indonesian.
9. The introduction must be written clearly and descriptively, encompassing several essential components. It should begin by highlighting the significance of the research through a review of both international and national issues, supported by credible sources. The researcher’s perspective or response to these issues must then be presented, followed by a discussion of relevant findings from previous studies that establish the basis for identifying the research gap. The novelty of the present study should be emphasized and supported by relevant primary theories. Finally, the introduction should present the focus of the research, and in its concluding paragraph, the research objectives or research questions may be stated in descriptive form without the use of bullets or numbering.
10. The method section must be explained clearly, including at least: the research design employed and justification for its use, research subjects (with demographic information if possible), research instruments and reasons for their selection, data collection procedures, and data analysis techniques. All of these elements should be written descriptively as a coherent whole, without subheadings.
11. Results should be presented clearly and in detail. They may be organized according to research stages, research questions, or other suitable approaches, as long as the findings are conveyed explicitly. Research results should be supported by empirical evidence.
12. The discussion interprets the research findings without repeating the results section. It should connect the findings to relevant theories or previous studies, showing whether the results support or contradict earlier research. The discussion must highlight the novelty of the findings compared to prior studies and explain their significance.
13. Conclusion should be written descriptively, without numbering or bullets. The conclusion must answer the research questions. It should not simply restate sentences from the results or discussion but rather abstract the essential points related to the research questions. This section should also state the research contributions, limitations, and recommendations for future studies.
14. Acknowledgement(s). Acknowledgements of people, grants, funds, etc. should be placed in a separate section before the References.
15. Conflict of Interest: Authors may choose one of the following statements:
    • The authors declare no conflict of interest.
    • The authors must state any conflict of interest in detail.

16. Contribution: All authors confirm that they have read and approved the final version of this manuscript. The contribution of each author to the development of the research should be stated in a single paragraph, using only initials followed by a period. Percentages should be used to indicate each author’s contribution (from a total of 100%). Example: M.I. conceptualized the research idea presented and collected the data. The other two authors (M.M. and S.) actively contributed to the development of the theory, methodology, data organization and analysis, discussion of the results, and approval of the final version of the work. All authors confirm that they have read and approved the final version of this manuscript. The percentage contributions for the conceptualization, drafting, and revision of this paper are as follows: M.I.: 40%, M.M.: 30%, and S.: 30%.

18. Author Biographies: Please attach all author photographs (3 × 4 cm) and curriculum vitae.
19. References should include all works cited in the article, listed alphabetically, single-spaced. Every source cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and vice versa. A minimum of 20 references is required, with at least 80% from journal articles and the remainder from other sources. Authors must also input all references into OJS. Reference formatting and citation style must follow the APA 7th edition guidelines. References should follow the American Psychological Association (APA, 7th ed.) style in alphabetical order. References should be cited in the text first alphabetically, then by date (e.g., Devetak, 2009; Vogrinc & Valenčič Zuljan, 2009; Vogrinc & Valenčič Zuljan, 2010) and listed in alphabetical order in the reference section at the end of the manuscript.
